The lead product of Oncos Therapeutics is an oncolytic adenovirus named CGTG-102, designed to utilize a gene mutation common to all solid tumor cancer cells – a defect in the Rb-p16 pathway. While CGTG-102 is entering Phase I/II clinical trials it has already demonstrated safety in the Advanced Therapy Access Program program with a strong promise on efficacy.
CGTG-102 is a unique oncolytic virus marked by its high potency, selectivity, systemic stimulation of anti-tumor immune response, and capability to destroy metastases. CGTG-102 is based on the serotype 5 adenovirus; more than 15,000 cancer patients have already been treated worldwide with serotype 5 based adenoviruses, establishing a solid body of safety data.
